Exxon-Mobil: Not Earth Friendly
So the rage is alt.fuels. Or maybe not. But last night a commercial during the Oscars featured GM vehicles with "Flex Fuel" labels on the back and hydrogen car flashes. Now, we know that the Oscars are as mainstream as it gets (and Hurray for Reese Witherspoon, you earned it) and perhaps alt.fuels are a here now, gone tommorrow phenomenon but it still makes a difference.
On the topic of the title above, I was reading in the NY Times the other day and saw an ad from E-M that I can't find a copy of, stating a P-shaw attitude to Peak Oil. They claim we will never run out and cite the USGS surveys of available oil and attainability, which are astronomically wild according to most experts (to the tune of 1 trillion barrels). I'm so glad they are confident and maybe some traders will read the ad and bid up the price of their stock for a day or two. But maybe they are just trying to maintain their foothold in the face of alt.fuel enthusiasm, which they don't produce. I don't know but boo to them.
