UPS Winning a Green Star

In the latest issue of the Alternative Fuels Index, a publication of The Energy Management Institute, is an article about UPS's commitment to alt.fuels. They have over 1500 alt.fuel vehicles in their fleet so far and have plans to deploy 50 more HEVs in Dallas throughout the year. This gives them one of the largest alt.fuel fleets in the country and certainly one of, if not the, largest private fleet in the nation.
I don't know what percentage of their fleet is green; I imagine it's relatively low, though. This is not a bad thing because the numbers are growing, and thus the infrastructure. Like the old adage, "Get rich slow," America can get green slow the market way, which will 1) actually happen and 2) make the conservatives happy not necessarily in that order.
