Heartless Bastards

This band rocks. I needn't rehash all the reviews here, you can read them yourself. Just to say, they are all true for the most part. I saw them live at Stubb's about a month ago. I thought the girl's veins in her forehead were going to burst. There was definitely no holding back on her part. What's great about the album is that it is derivative, but of so many sources (bands) it doesn't get tedious. Some bands it's like, "Oh yeah, the Beatles" or Sonic Youth. But these guys are like, okay, Pixies, now Black Sabbath, Led Zepplin, some White Stripes, Ramones perhaps, some band I can't quite pinpoint, etc. They are all over the map but blends together so well. You gotta check this one out!
