My summer book list
Well, I read a lot this summer. 1.5 hours of commuting time on the train everyday will allow this. I shot for a book per week and think I made it. All it really did for me though is make me want to pick up more books to read. There's just too many good books out there. And for every good book, there's a thousand schlock hounds whoring themselves for their art. But this is what make life interesting. Here's the list:
fff The Tin Drum - Gunter Grass
fff Hokkaido Popsicle - Isaac Adamson
fff The Wonder Boys - Michael Chabon
ffff The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle - Hiruki Murakami
fff The Fourth Hand - John Irving
ffff Quicksilver - Neal Stephenson
ff A Hole in Texas - Herman Wouk
fff Kitchen Confidential - Anthony Bourdain
ffff Dune - Frank Herbert
fff Blankets - Craig Thompson
ffff Last Exit to Brooklyn - Hubert Selby Jr.
fff The Dharma Bums - Jack Kerouac
fff Soldier of the Great War - Mark Helprin
fff Living History - Hillary Clinton
fff Summerland - Michael Chabon
