And you thought whackball scientists were a thing of the past. And along came DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency). These guys take the term mad scientist and run with it. Actually...it's more like they allow themselves to run with whatever crackbrained idea they come up with. This is where all the paranoiacs come up with their, "Did you know the Government's doing this!" type stuff.

The link in the title above takes you to one of their projects. Seems like they want to make super soldiers for the military. No need to sleep, eat, or eliminate for 40 days and nights. I just think these guys read too many comic books when they were young. I mean, where do you think they're getting these ideas from?
